    Ethics of Emerging Technologies

    March 30-31, 2007
    Pittsburgh, PA

Though many emerging technologies promise great benefit to society, some pose unresolved ethical and social dilemmas that require further examination and debate by citizens and scientists. What ethical guidelines should scientists abide by when using human test subjects in genomics research? Should research ever be restricted to prevent technologies from falling into the wrong hands? How can emerging technologies best be managed to ensure maximum benefit to society?

Don’t pass up this unique opportunity to join experts and students from the region to discuss and debate the social implications of emerging technologies!

Travel scholarships and free housing are available on a first-come first-served basis for out-of-town students to attend the conference.

I'll move this to the link sections, where it seems more appropriate, rather than the trash, because I do deem it interesting and you haven't made doubles.

Feel free to discuss views presented in the conference in their respective sections, however.
