If you are interested in getting some of your scientific essays and papers published, you may consider submitting material to The Lotus Reader, an online literary magazine supporting fiction, nonfiction, and poetry. The Lotus reader is especially looking for nonfiction submissions, including scientific essays and papers. It is located at http://www.lotusreader.8rf.com/. No fees are ever charged.

Or you could try Blogspot. Or WordPress.

And not have to be worried about 5,000 word limit, someone editing your work, wondering if your essay will be chosen for "publication," etc.

We like it here thanks, where we can ridicule, laugh at, modify, and sometimes even admire a work, free to all, from budding einsteins all the way up to people like Jeremy.

    From your site:

Will my work automatically be published by sending it in?

Unfortunately, due to the high volume of submissions, it is impossible to publish the work of everyone. Still, all writers are encouraged to send in.
Does the Lotus Reader exist solely online, or is there a physical format of it as well?

    Only online.

How often is the magazine updated?

It "comes out" every few months.
When you have a high volume of submissions, you can publish without any costs - it is online - why not step up the release?

I mean.. Aside from the laugh one might get from posting a scientific piece on a website that has more flowers than my curtains - why?

Wow, you guys are really full of yourselves...

It is a way to get published. We do not profit off of you. Nor are we preaching in any way. How anyone could possibly find the magazine offensive is beyond my knowledge.

This isn't a logic debate. You don't want to be published, fine. Insulting a neutral, nonargumentative statement is not only incorrect, but idotic, insecure, and rude.

Thanks! It's good to see someone appreciates my competence.

If you want, I can write an essay about your flowery design, but I doubt you'd publish it.

Here I am giving you the room to advertise to a wide audience of science-interested individuals, and you go taxi-driver on my ass. I have not trashed your thread, edited your link.. I was only mildly sarcastic...
And what do you do? You become rude and abrasive.. You frustrate a potential relationship that might increase the functionality of your web service.

To be honest, I don't think I'm the idiot here.
