Gotta love it when someone insults another persons intelligence and cannot spell the insult.

Sorry, but I'm skeptical. It wouldn't be the first time somebody spray painted their own house to drum up sympathy for some cause or other.

But then, their cars were also spray painted with the same stuff.

I don't know why I feel this, but I strongly suspect people who would graffiti their own house wouldn't do the same to their cars. No real basis for thinking this, but I'm pretty sure it's irrelevant.

I reckon some people who didn't even know the kids from school are the most likely culprits - but I don't know why I think this either.

Kids are cruel. Probably the mentally challenged (if that's the currently accepted term) kids were teased. But does it ever happen that people want to run families out of town because they have mentally challenged kids? I've never seen anything like that. I'll wait until they catch somebody.

My working hypothesis is that the parents wanted to raise awareness for what they view as a good cause, and were willing to sacrifice a paint job to do it. Maybe they even expect some charitable donations. The boys were obviously put up to it in order to make the video. Kids don't think of stuff like that on their own.

Yeah, I bet the kids were put up to doing the video. As for whether or not the whole spray painting thing was real. Well, it's possible it was just a stunt to raise awareness. But you'd think if it were a hoax, the word would get out - especially when the entire community steps up and makes a big stink about the whole event. The police were involved too. Not saying that means it's definitely legitimate, but the consequences involved just to make a viral video? That's what makes me think it's probably real.

Frankly, I think that accusing those people of spray painting their own property is uncalled for unless there is justifiable cause to do so.

That's a bit like claiming the Moon Landing was hoaxed. Harold, the Onus is on you to show reasonable evidence that they spray painted their own house and cars if you're going to make the claim. That's how it is done scientifically.

Conspiracy Claimants often claim to be skeptics.

I don't make the claim. There isn't any evidence against anybody. I'm just putting them on my suspect list.

Very well, but bear in mind, this is not an Opinion Forum. It is a science forum.
