    Hi,

My name is Max and I'm 20. I do neurology research at UCLA and do some side user interface work. I just launched a small project, any comments would be nice.

I've been working on a little project called ScienceRate.com. We're thinking of allowing people to just enter a PubMed number and then the system will automatically download the information into a thread.

Does anyone else have an idea?

    -Max

Welcome to the forum. I can't say I understand those biological articles on your site, but they do look very interesting .

Hi there Max. What kinds of things are you researching?

I visited your site, and here are a few of my thoughts:

    Use Science Rate to:
-Share and discuss advances in biology
Definitely something us forum members can get behind.

    -Create and manage workgroups
    -Find old and new colleagues
    -Expand your collaboration network
I'd say that these last three points are mostly of interest to practicing research scientists. There are a few of us here, but many of the forum members are not practicing researchers but enthusiasts and hobbyists (though I think many of them are more than capable of going into research if it ever took their fancy!).

Correct me if I'm wrong guys, but I also think we have a lot more people well versed in physics than we do in biology (425 up there being an example).
Man can will nothing unless he has first understood that he must count on no one but himself; that he is alone, abandoned on earth in the midst of his infinite responsibilities, without help, with no other aim than the one he sets himself, with no other destiny than the one he forges for himself on this earth.
    ~Jean-Paul Sartre
