I came across this forum because I am researching certain carnauba based wax blends for automotive use. Honestly, I am seriously in awe at some of the discussions on this forum. I'm a fast learner, but I am amazed at the knolwedge in here.

    Hi Todd,

And a very warm welcome to you, have a look around before you post a thread to get the idea of where it should go etc.

Like all forums although people do their best to help, not everything you may be told is fact, so please check out anything you learn here with an off-line source if possible. We are more tolerant here than most forums so debates can get a little heated sometimes, but they are a nice bunch, usually found cowering in a corner well away from me in fact I'll let them have a chance here and now to tell you about me without any fear of reprisal....

    Megabrain.

Wow, you ARE new. You put "knowledge," "amazed," and "awe" all in the same response about this place. :P

If you screw up, Megabrain will fix it. And if he screws up, it's still your fault, so don't screw up!

Of course, I'm sure you can always PM one of us for help! The mods are nice and the regulars require the least amount of flesh of any forum...

Certain people (*cough*) will make sure you maintain a level head and balanced mind... You have been politely warned. Failure to heed the warnings may result in potentially-humiliating iterated textual decomposition, followed by the learning of lessons...

MB, that wouldn't be as much a problem if you'd just let me have the hammer! :X

    sorry, no cows here

don't mind MB too much - he's our elderly statesman, and we like to make him think that we tremble in fear, makes him feel 20 years younger

Maybe I frequent the wrong threads, but I would have never thought that about you, MB. Haha, when I think about most of the personalities on this forum, "cowering in a corner" is most definitely not the visual that comes to mind.

You're very welcome, Todd. If you have questions about what's being said in any of the discussions, feel free to ask. There's always a few of us around willing to help out.
Man can will nothing unless he has first understood that he must count on no one but himself; that he is alone, abandoned on earth in the midst of his infinite responsibilities, without help, with no other aim than the one he sets himself, with no other destiny than the one he forges for himself on this earth.

"feeling like a fish out of water"

Since we are all indeed, through our ancestry, fish out of water, this is a normal and appropriate feeling.

    Welcome.

According to the US justice system, we should all be single-cell organisms. Does that count? :P

It was just a stab at some of the crazy things the US justice system does. Kinda like they're trying to put us all in prison. There's a cell for everyone! lol
