I love Science. I love spending time thinking about things. There is more to this reality, I know. I just want to understand it. I often binge-watch science on YouTube. However interesting it is to listen to what others have to say, it seems that ultimately our own answers must come from within in order to make sense of it all: Listen -> Process -> Understand.

I follow my curiosities. What I am most interested in is consciousness, intuition, who we are/what we are/why we are here…

Mostly I want to understand why. Why does this work in chemistry. Why does that work in physics. Why does this work in biology. I don’t believe in traditional religion, and I am turned off by all that. But I cannot dismiss the possibility that there might be some intelligence behind the workings of the universe. I would not call it “God” or “Gods”. I don’t understand why something happens when it does. Science can explain it mostly if it is known or knowable. But it only goes so far. Someone can say this happens because… But then why does it happen because of this or that. What causes this or that to happen so that this or that can happen. Like, why does conception work? Why do two chemicals have a certain reaction? It can probably be explained, but can it really be explained as to why? Does that make sense?

Perhaps all the intelligence in the universe makes sense in a certain context but that understanding is inconceivable to us today considering our brains’ limitations as they are today. One day they may not! Patience is key.

What a mystery! Just thinking out loud, a sampling of what is in there. Lots to learn.

That is me. Looking forward to meeting you. Thanks for listening.

    Mindy 🙃

On the other hand, there's Bonini's Paradox to consider.
There are no paradoxes in relativity, just people's misunderstandings of it.

Hi Mindy! Welcome to the forum!
Just as a quickie thought. I suspect that the answer to that the question “Why are we here?”, is that “We just are”.
I was some of the mud that got to sit up and look around.
    Lucky me. Lucky mud.

Hi, Mindy! I am also new to the forum! A number of interesting questions, you ask... and, I hope that your journey brings you closer to satisfactory answers. You have a searching, inquiring mind. Nurture that. Nice to meet you, and glad you are here, too!
