It has been said that a fool can ask more questions than a wise man can answer. In science, it is frequently the case that a wise man is needed to ask the right question rather than to answer it. Explain.

This is because to those who think scientifically not every question is worthy of thought. Just because a question can be written does not make it meaningful or deserving of attention. It takes "wisdom" to formulate a sensible question, something a lot of the cranks here would do well to take note of

For example, if you asked a scientist "why are unicorns hollow?" You probably get the response: "Bugger off you tit!"

Einstein simply asked: what would happen if you rode on a photon at the speed of light.
    And wallah! special relativity.

Olber simply asked: why is the night sky not as bright as the sun.
    And wallah! The finite universe.
    This space for rent

Did Olber also ask why his sunglasses decreased the light in his eyes?
Growing up, i marveled at star-trek's science, and ignored the perfect society. Now, i try to ignore their science, and marvel at the society.

Imagine, being able to create matter out of thin air, and not coming up with using drones for boarding hostile ships. Or using drones to defend your own ship. Heck, using drones to block energy attacks, counterattack or for surveillance. Unless, of course, they are nano-machines in your blood, which is a billion times more complex..
