Thread: Greetings!

Greetings, fellow humans!

My name is Eugene, from Singapore, and I am turning 17 this year.

I took my GCE O Level examinations last year and my results are as followed:
A1 for Mathematics, Chemistry and Combined Humanities (History + Social Studies)
A2 for English, Additional Mathematics and Physics
B3 for Mother Tongue (Chinese)

I'm just here to pass my time, maybe learn some new things, while waiting for school to start (in April). [I'm taking up a diploma in Biomedical Science ]
And also because I got bored of playing games.

My aspiration is to be a biomedical research scientist to discover new drugs and new ways to cure diseases and illnesses.

I am interested in all fields of science, because I find it very fascinating how the different things work. I'm not very well-educated in terms of the content outside of what my school taught me, and I hope to learn more about the different branches of sciences here.

I am not an athletic person and only enjoy leisure sport (?) activities such as bowling and billiards (although I'm not very professional in any of them).

Congratulations on your exam results and also your aspirations. I wish I had so clearly known what I wanted to do at 17. It might change as you get older and learn more about different sciences but very good luck to you - I wish you well in your endeavours. :-)

Welcome to the forum. And, no worries, once you compete professional, both bowling and billiards cease to be leisurely in any sense.
