    Are molecules spherical or circular?

    Neither.

    The shape depends on what atoms the molecule is made of. In biological molecules like proteins, the shape is important for their function.

    Some are nearly spherical:

    (That is a model, by the way ... just in case )

    But others can be long and thin, coiled up, cubic, nearly circular:

    I may be wrong here, but they are neither. Something that is spherical belongs in three dimensional space, whereas that which is circular belongs in two dimensional space. Molecules are comprised of two or more atoms that bond with each other, so they need not strictly be spherical.

    By the way, if you were thinking of atoms rather than molecules then they are roughly spherical:
