Hello and welcome!
welcome...I see you're off to an interesting start in the pseudoscience section. My advice...take the advice you are given, you will learn a lot here. It's great to have an open mind, but just make sure you post accurate info. Enjoy your time here!
I said it many times before, and I say it again here - ignorance is a choice, but so is knowledge and understanding.
Choose wisely.
No problem, everybody can have an oppinion.
But exclamations like 'utter nonsense' never solved any problem.
It worries me that nobody doubts the Einstein formula, it is unusable although maybe theoretically proven correct.
Tell that to the operators of your local nuclear power plant.
You appear to be completely ignorant of pretty much everything to do with physics, I am afraid to say. Quite sad, really.
What problem are you referring to, exactly ?But exclamations like 'utter nonsense' never solved any problem.
Posting utter nonsense never has either. But exclamations like 'utter nonsense' never solved any problem.
Of course they can.
But lazy ignorant people don't bother to check how valid, if at all, their opinion is.
Yours isn't, in case you were wondering.
It might stop you posting nonsense. But exclamations like 'utter nonsense' never solved any problem.
It may even encourage you to find out why we say it's utter nonsense and lead you to getting an education.
And you're wrong again. It worries me that nobody doubts the Einstein formula, it is unusable although maybe theoretically proven correct.
It's experimentally - practically - "proven" correct.
some days,
I get the impression that the internet offers an interesting mechanism for venting.
Perhaps there exist a build up of tensions due to the PC nature of the modern workplace, an unhappy marriage, or loneliness, or infirmity, or... .
Maybe this is psychologically healthy (for the person venting) as it allows them the freedom to just be mean, without personal repercussions.
Perhaps this pseudo venting, only delays the true venting which must needs come with personal risks.
On the receiving end, this is a great opportunity for personal growth through desensitization to the words of folks who just seem cruel and insensitive.
curiouser and curiouser
It is usable. It has been practically shown to be correct. Which is hardly surprising as it is derived, quite simply, from existing theory which has also been shown to be correct.
And, of course, scientists do still doubt it. That is what scientists do. They keep looking for new ways to test and challenge the stuff we take for granted and try and prove it wrong. After all, that is where the excitement and the glory is. They know that any theory, however well tested, may be only provisional.
