Most people---including SCIENTISTS?---get lost in semantics!!! It should be OBVIOUS to ANYONE that the universe, or SOMETHING with another name, ALWAYS existed. It's OBVIOUS because it is not possible to make SOMETHING from NOTHING!!!!
It should also be obvious to anyone that the universe can NOT have an end! What would be beyond the END---something with a different name?
    It should also be
abundantly obviously that it is not possible to see the ENTIRE universe because light would have to have an infinite speed!!!
Some SCIENTISTS? believe that the universe is expanding. it is NOT we are just seeing more of it each year because the speed of light is finite!!!

    Welcome to the forum.

I hope you do not continue to post utter nonsense here, or your stay will be short lived.

Claiming something to be "obvious" is not a proof.
Making incorrect statements is not proof.
We know the universe had a start.
    We know that it's expanding.
Arguments from incredulity don't constitute proof either.

Apart from that, nice first post.

You don't see a contradiction here?

It is, if you'll excuse me saying it, "obvious" that if the universe had always existed, then there would have been infinite time for light to have arrived from any (including infinite) distance.

The rest of your post makes even less sense.

Oh, and the bold red font? It doesn't make your case any more compelling. It just makes you look a little ... odd.

I don't think this post should have even existed, nonetheless, welcome to the forum!

Utter nonsense, for the simple reason which Strange has pointed out. The very fact that we can't see all of the universe already indicates a finite cosmological age.

This is anything but known. We see nothing in the universe that requires an origin event to explain.

We don't know this at all, in fact we don't even know if that idea is anything but nonsense. If the universe is infinite in size then it can not be expanding.

Hi, and welcome to the forum. Just a few questions though...Semantically, what is1. The universe,2. Most people, and3. Scientists? I do believe you are confusing the idea of the Hubble Distance (I think it is, can't quite remember) with expansion. The distance between galaxies are growing, as well as that distance I was talking about. That is (for my understanding) what is meant by universe expansion. And, as I understand it, everything was compressed at the beginning, and this is what gave rise to that expansion. So, nothing was created or destroyed, it was there. Can I say with most accuracy that you are a creationist? Don't feel bad to answer that, because I am. But even so, to create us(humans, animals, birds, trees, water, mountains and all the rest), there would have had to be something before that event. Not true? Good post. Looking forward to your reply, and (excuse the use) obviously the corrections.

Is that a summary of evidence you have supporting your beliefs? I can't say I'm surprised.

Anyone got any idea what is wrong with people like Plautus? Is it a symptom of some known mental disorder? Or just someone with nothing better to do on a boring Sunday?

Edit: OK, I guess the clue is in the name. Plautus was Roman writer of satirical comedies. Presumably our "plautus" thought he was being terribly witty and amusing.

It is better to say Universe was not in this form in past. It may be present in some other form as big bang predicts.
But it is logically acceptable that >>>>>
Space is unlimited and and All matter/Energy inside space exits from unlimited time and would exist up to unlimited time. It is basic
and acceptable assumption that no matter/energy can be produced or destroyed in real term just its states/forms changes.

Hmm, quite a lot of assertions of knowing this and not knowing that here already.... All that can actually be said is we have data. The best fit model to the best currently available data is that the universe is:
    1) Expanding at an apparently reducing rate
    2) Finite in size
    3) Had a definite beginning
However, new data may indicate that this is not the case. Such is the way of science......
Whatever, I simply do not understand the difficulty people have with the idea of nothing and of something coming into existence from nothing. In fact the more i think about it the more it seems obvious that if you envisage a state of absolute nothingness ie no dimensions, then there most be an overwhelming likelihood of something cropping up sooner or later, lol.
'Inflation' has me a tad perplexed however.

i thought the evidence pointed to an increasing acceleration.

Welcome to the forum, I see you flushed out the usual defenders of reality. Now I'm looking forward to what you intend to do with them.
