I am currently doing an HonS in Performance & Coaching (top up degree) and will graduate from my FdSc Marine Sports Science degree later this month.

Of course, sports science is my focus, which includes things like:

    • Specific Physiological Knowledge (Cardiovascular, Skeletal/Muscular, Respiratory & Energy Systems focused).
    • Specific Meteorological & Wave Dynamics Knowledge (Rossby & Kelvin Waves, El Nino/La Nina, Jet Streams, Gyres, Global Warming).
    • Athlete Development (Cote's DMSP, Balyi's LTAD).
    • Sports Psychology (Chaos Theory, Arousal Theory; paradigms and idealisms of this nature).

Even though I study sports, my interest in sciences is broad and it's rare I am not fascinated by both objective or subjective studies in the scientific community.

    Personally I like to:

    • Discuss & Debate Scientific Views (Through Critical Analysis).
    • Learn about current "problems" in other scientific areas.
    • Be pro-active about learning (Well, I am here aren't I?).
    • Think metaphysically, work scientifically.

I am glad I found this forum, hopefully I can learn alot from you guys/girls!

    Kind Regards,

Hi Langarm welcome to the forum.
