    Hello all.

I just joined the forum today. It seems like a good online community.

As my thread title states, I'm not an expert. In anything. I have a Bachelors of Science in Biology from a small, private university and I'm currently just trying to "get my foot in the door" in an entry level position in the bio field in some way, shape, or form. Being that I love biology and have a degree in biology but don't work in the field I'm looking for interesting outlets for that interest. This forum seems like a pretty good spot.

I probably won't have much to contribute as I'm sure there are far more knowledgeable and experienced individuals than myself on the forum, but I'm happy to be here to observe, read, and take in information.

In my free time I spend a lot of time with my dogs, both casually and in formal training. I train both of them in obedience and agility and have finally begun competing with one of them this summer in agility. I hope to begin competitive obedience with my other dog this fall. If not, I expect that will come by next spring. I also enjoy camping and hiking and just being active outdoors as much as possible.

Looking forward to perusing the forum some more.

Welcome to the forum. The biology threads are quite active, although often it is a matter of explaining evolution theory to creationists!

A word of warning: some of the members are (shock/horror) cat people!!

I know better than to try to explain anything regarding evolution to true creationists. Sadly, their minds don't bend that way and I'm not a fan of beating my head senseless on brick walls.

I like cat people! I like cats! So do my dogs, in their own way!
