    Hi All,

My name is Jay, I'm from the south of England so probably across the pond to most others on here. I currently work in IT but have always had a keen interest in Sciences, specifically more towards Physics.

I enjoy what I do at work etc but would like to learn more about Sciences as a hobby and so forth, thought joining here may be a good place to start.

Being the wrong side of 30 and having had to do little to no math or science for about 16 years now I pretty much need to start again from scratch, so looking really for some good resources to brush up on Mathematics and also learn more about the sciences etc.

Look forward to getting to know some people on here and hopefully learning a lot along the way.

    Cheers

    Jay

Welcome to the forum. Don't be put of by the nutters with theories about why Einstein is wrong. They provide the half time entertainment.

Thanks for the welcomes.Much appreciated. As for the Einstein bashers, I think it's fairly well stood now that most of his work was spot on, but I think it's important to always question theories, as that's for me the best way to learn and understand.I have read a few threads though and test assured I have no intention of trolling, but I'm sure I will have plenty of questions to raise opposing Einstein as I learn more, not because I believe he is wrong but because I don't understand etc! Lol.So far I know the theory of relativety (sp), but I don't understand the maths behind it etc, so that's where I need to really start learning etc. so I will question it all but purely to learn!Hopefully that makes sense! Lol.
