Hi there, I'm a 48 year old Dutch/South African female from The Netherlands. I'm a marine biologist (Dutch degree) but not working in the field these past ten years.
English is not my main language but I manage to get by, I think.

I stumbled onto this site and have read some fascinating posts so far, so I decided to join! Love the variation in subjects, ages and backgrounds! :-D

Welcome to the forum dutchie. Even if you have not been active in your field for some years I'll bet you can bring a lot of insight to many topics.
I look forward to reading your posts in future.

    Bedankt!
Ben je zelf ook Nederlands, of is dit via een online vertaler gegaan?
De online vertalingen zijn soms hilarisch!

Edit: Oei, sorry, heb net je profile gezien!

he welcomed me to the forum.
i said thanks and did he write that with the help of an online translator, these are often hilarious. I then read his profile and went back to correct myself, he is obviously Dutch

From my experience, these online translators usually give funny and strange results (Guess this one is different)

    You misunderstood me
My statement refers to the stuff about the online translator they've mentioned, not to your request.
