Hi,
I've been at www.sciforums.com for several years now. I used to post my ideas in the Physics & Math forum of their site, but recently my posts have been moved into the Pseudoscience section of their website. I know that some of my ideas don't conform with the current theories in physics, but I don't feel that they belong in the section dealing with Bigfoot and UFO's. I started looking for a new science forum on the web where I can post my scientific ideas without being insulted. I registered at thescienceforum.com because I noticed that you have a subforum called "New Hypotheses and Ideas" where I can post my ideas without being offended or offending any conservative scientists.
I just have one question: The description on the "New Hypotheses and Ideas" subforum indicates "Hypotheses or ideas that lack both solid disproof and substantial empirical support, be it from a lack of research in the field or a current lack of technology/data that would enable research in the field, to be discussed in solid scientific terms.". What if I have a hypothesis or idea (physics) that has scientific evidence, but I believe that the evidence points to a theory that's different than the theory supported by the general scientific community. Should I post the idea in the "Physics" subforum or the "New Hypotheses and Ideas" forum?
Let me also say that even though some of my ideas go against what is believed by the scientific community, I do consider myself a scientist. I will accept all evidence that proves that my idea may be wrong. My desire is to understand the universe, and not to prove that I'm right.
Thanks, in advance, to everyone for your patience and open-mindedness.
