I took apart my old computer to study its parts. I'm trying to run the computer with its parts out of the computer (a computer without the hud, kind of like a naked computer).
When everything was connected and turned on, the light turned green, the fans ran, and the light on the motherboard turned on. But the computer still didn't turn on. The monitor was still blank.
I suspected that this was because of the intel chip which I removed and placed back and it might not have been completely connected. This intel chip has 478 pins which I must connect to 478 holes or else it wont work. I removed the big metal thing thats attached to the back of the intel chip which cools it down so I can accurately connect all 478 pins. It seemed to be connected so I ran the computer again. It seemed like everything worked but still nothing showed on the screen (yes, the monitor was connected).
I touched the chip (risking my finger  ) to find out if it was actually working and it was burning hot! Does that mean it was working? Or does that mean that maybe theres a short circuit within few of the 478 pins? |

HAHA! Success!
it was a short circuit after all!
I ran my computer with all the parts outside and now I'm going to make a wooden laptop out of this desktop!

Good luck!
I've seen people with their computers in cardboard boxes, or outside the house in airtight containers for better cooling (generally is colder where I live). I even saw people building them into fridges and freezers, and filling fish takns with vegetable oil, and runiing their computer within that!
All of course for better cooling, and all of them worked. |

Shouldn't that make it worse? I mean, the idea should be to get the heat away from the components....
