During the sixteenth century Europe's view of cosmology changed from geocentric to heliocentric (Copernicus). What was cosmology like in the rest of the world, India, China, Ottoman empire, and in the western hemisphere - Aztecs or Incas?
I'm sure there was a variety .. with one commonality though, and that being, that they were as convinced of it's correctness as we are of ours.
Personally, I'm becoming a fan of turtles.
