Do the 12 tribes of Israel survive today? Where have they moved to? Have some returned to Israel?

After the split of the kingdom between Judah and Israel, the Israel tribes were deported by the Assyrians who conquered the country and apparently were assimilated into the peoples where they were exiled. Some may have survived as ancestors to Samaritans. The people of Judah are (more or less) the ancestors of the Jews.

Tribal breakdown - Tradition has Judah consisting of Judah and Benjamin, while Israel has the rest. A careful reading of Joshua seems to indicate that Simeon should be included with Judah, but it lost its identity when the kingdom was first formed under Saul.

You are right, there are understanding that Israel tribes have been vanished but tribes in the kingdom of Judah are the ancestors of the Jews nowadays. Jews returned back to the Palestine but after the Christ they have spreaded all around the world. In the many places are founded the tribes which have the same traditional and habits even if they had not have the jews scriptures anymore. Every year many who have jews identity return back to the Israel from every corner of the World.
