Does anyone know if there's any connection between diabetes and abnormalities in the menstrual cycle (like polymenorrhea)?

    Thx

I am not sure I understand the question. But this is the mechanism of Diabetes mellitus and the resulting biochemical pathways I can think of:
Insulin is not secreted in sufficient amount or does not efficiently stimulate its target cells. Hence, blood glucose levels become too high and glucose spills over into the urine. Although high glucose are present the cell can’t pick up the glucose (leading to starvation). This stimulates all kinds of energy pathway like ketone body formation, fatty acid oxidation and … are it these you’re refereeing to?
