Growth hormone (GH) is the key, I’d suspect. GH production is controlled by two hormones secreted by the hypothalamus: somatocrinin (which produces more of it) and somatostatin (which inhibits its production). Its production is greatest during childhood, and levels out after you’ve reached your maximum height in your teens.

So, I suppose, if you want to become taller, you can inject more somatocrinin and/or GH into your body. :? There is a great risk involved though: too much GH can lead to a syndrome called acromegaly, in which not only do you get taller but also certain parts of the body such as hands and feet become abnormally swollen.

Malnutrition will cause you to be shorter, if you are still growing a good diet will promote optimal growth. To go pass your pre-programmed optimal height you would have to manipulate hormones externally, which involves more complications than it is really worth. If you are already fully grown there is nothing but surgical procedures that can be done. They can put implants in to extend the length of your legs, also not so pleasant.

Malnutrition is caused by a diet lacking essential vitamins for an extended period and it has a lot of very bad side effects, depending on the degree of deficiency of vitamins and which vitamins you're deficient in.

Look up vitamin deficiencies and you'll find a list of bad side-effects lol.

You really can't LOSE height once you've gotten tall, & malnutrition to stump your growth is a VERY bad idea! Sleep in more to grow more can help but it's mostly genes.

It shoulnt! Taller people are more successful, more intelligent (actually proven!) on average.

As for acromegaly mentioned above that really only occurs if you start producing growth hormone into your twentis/thirties (gigantism) after your long bones have fused, this is normally due to growth hormone production from a tumour. Otherwise you just grow larger proportionally.

If you're overweight, shed the load. A few millimeters per vertebra really adds up.

I'm not overwight, I'm in prefectly good shape, doing some extreme training now as soon I'm to be applied to army and I wanna go to one of the elite units so I need to be in perfect shape.
Aww and my diet is somewhat ok+... I mean... I do eat unhealthy food but I try to avoid it when I can

...Is there really nothing I could do to loose a few centimeters of me hight? like finding a really short room and pushing meself towards the ground or something like this ovarr a period of time??

btw, Robbie, you are totaly wrong, there are many many MANY VERY intellegent people who are short.
Did you ever see a short kung fu master? They can take down a man twice their size with great ease, now... to do that you really need to have your wits with you....

Yes. Gain weight. It's simple. Or march with heavy backpack, believe me you will be measurably shorter after, and take some hours or days to spring back. Do that a lot, I'm sure you'll lose a bit for good.

"Spring back" as in a spring. Mechanically, the spine is like heavy rubber, not a rigid column.

I measured my wife's height before, during, after pregnancy. Six years later, she weighs only slightly more than before, yet has not regained her original height.

Get a friend to measure you before bed. Then in the morning, before you get up. The difference should be about 1cm. Astronauts grow 5cm typically.

Yeah I know there are some smart short people, but in large studies it is shown that on average, height is proportional to IQ, of course there is a bell curve for each height so there is no reason you cant be short and smart or tall and dumb!

AS for Pong, yeah its true you are taller first thing in the morning due to less pressure being out on your vertebrae when you're lying down, this is limited and no, you will not lose any significant inches from walking with weights on you!

I doubt this, I suspect higher IQ correlates to slightly higher than average height, because this would correlate to better nutrition and parental care. I haven't met very many obscenely tall geniuses .

You can have your legs amputated, then get short prostetic legs. Or, you can hunch a lot and your spine will eventually fix into a curved position as you age. Neither is particularly pleasant either.

Go to Russia. They will break your legs and stretch you.

People have actually done this. I wouldn't recommend it.
