I sort have developed some sort of concentration problem.
It is not to do with what I eat as I have been leading a healthy lifestyle such as exercising, eating healthly and drinking plenty of water.

But my doctor says it probaly is just motivation problems but even when i want to do something, i have begun to be unable to do it,

I understand what i have to do with my coursework I like doing it and now. I can not seem to do it.

I just start thinking of other things all of the time. What the hell is going on my doctor says there is nothing wrong but if i'dont do anything about it i will just fail my college course's

    Any advice please

What is the coursework you are doing and what will it acheive for you? What is it you are thinking about or getting distracted by? What do you do when you are not doing your coursework or excercising?

My guess would be that sometimes when you get so focused on doing something for a long time, the needs of your subconscience get neglected. If this goes on for long enough, your "condition" (I would have said mental ability, but that's not quite right.) gets somewhat impaired, and you become unable to perform certain tasks for seemingly unexplainable reasons. If this is the case, only you can figure out what exactly the problem is.

The most important thing I have learned about the internet is that it needs lot more kindness and patience.

I am understanding what you're saying, but I wonder how I will get to know it myself, if it is my subconscience then maybe hypnotism should work?

I would see a psychiatrist if you are looking for someone else to help you help you.

I agree with Demen - you may have some depression going on. It's hard to concentrate when you're depressed and you often find yourself uninterested in things you used to like.

Or, maybe you're like me and you need to be entertained while you work. I usually have to take a lot of breaks to check my email (and this forum ), I listen to music, etc. I understand the importance of what I do, but that doesn't prevent the task itself from being somewhat tedious.
Man can will nothing unless he has first understood that he must count on no one but himself; that he is alone, abandoned on earth in the midst of his infinite responsibilities, without help, with no other aim than the one he sets himself, with no other destiny than the one he forges for himself on this earth.

It sounds like to me what you are suffering here are symptoms of procrastination. A common ailment with which we all suffer time time to when bored and disinterested with what we are meant to be doing because we'd rather be doing something else more interesting and inspiring!

And that sounds like the serious problem underlying your complaint!

What the hell are you doing a business course for if it's not sparking any enthusiasm in you???(i could smack your bum!)

    Ah because you want success!

What you are doing here is focusing on the goal and not the journey in between.
For you to get to your goal, you've got to enjoy and get the most of the journey there.

I'm studying a variety of subjects at the moment and periodically i hit dry arid patches, but then i know the creative juices will be flowing again.
    That's natural.
Most students will tell you that.
Studying's hard work, sitting on your bum all day thumbing through mm..nice smelly books and doodling spiders on your jotter. That's another example of the natural laws of ebb and flow, yin and yang, on an off, 01, or whatever you want to call it.

Go with the flow. When the juices aint flowing i get out my crayons and lego and play in the sand box, go for long walks, empty my compost bin, play with my fish, listen to mad music, paint the wall, just anything until the sap rises again and enthusiasm re-ignites.

But when it does ignite, then you gotta go with the flow again and make up for time you lost when the sap was down and get a little bit ahead for the possibility or probabilty of the next lull.

Your brain can only take so much in at a time, everyones brain needs time to digest and consolidate what you've learnt.

Ancient systems saw this creative period (yang) as male energy(the sun) often called the lingam, projecting, thrusting, hot and out there and doing it, when seeds are planted
The dormant period or the lull(yin) was female(the moon, e.g the moon absorbs the sun and the seed, oh the symbolism can be orgasmic!) often called yoni, was cool and passive and receptive. It was seen as a silent absorbing time, when things gestate.

So the active period plants the seed with active learning and participation and the passive period is time for the seed to gestate and produce fruit.
NOTE- Passive doesn't mean getting stoned and flopping lazily into a heap waiting for revelation and Lord Knowledge to visit. You will surely forget everything that way!
Passive requires a certain amount of active(to also ensure you are not dead) in that you need to chew, revise and consolidate what you've learnt.
Just the same as active times require a certain amount of passive to know when to take a break and not burn out.
Have you noticed in the symbol of yin and yang, when they are chasing their tails, going forever round in the cyclical journey, that they both have a seed of the other in them?

If you're not enjoying it, and it sounds like your not, drop it and find something which sparks your enthusiasm and makes you interested.

Don't feel bad about back-tracking and dropping things especially when you're young and time is on your side. It's better you stop asap something your doing when you know it isn't for you, than carry on feeling like you have to now you've started doing it. You'll be glad you did when you get older and time isn't on your side and you realise life is shorter and more precious than you thought when you were young and carefree!

Success is something we all have a personal definition for. For some success means actually finding something in life you feel truly passionate and enthusiastic about.

It doesn't always come through business, the pound coin or the dollar bill.
There are many so called 'successful' people who are deeply unhappy. Often because in the pursuit of success they forgot to enjoy the journey and make the most of it by reaping the rewards and successes on the way, seeing them as negligible in the pursuit of a narrower goal.

Well i have waffled enough, sorry

Hope i haven't confused you even more Neil

Let us know what you decide (so i will know if i've led you astray) :-D

    Good luck

I guess it is only a problem if you live in the USA or a country with a similar educational system.

Otherwise just forget about college. Do something else. You can always go back.

Wise words. I'll have to put some thought to whether I should seek sucess through business, I will see if there are any other college courses that are more interesting and useful to me.

    Thankyou for the advice everyone.[/u]
