    Hello:

Is there any way that physical signs of having been raped at about age 7 can still be present and be observable while undergoing a caesarean section in a woman's late 30s?

In the supposed case I'm refering to, no hospitalisation had been required after the episode (at least none that she can recall —she's now in her mid 80s and decent medical care was probably only available for the wealthy in her days).

She just remmembers she would often wake up hiding under her bed drenched in sweat when she was about that age. Of course it might have been just night terrors but she has suspicions about her mother's boyfriend. And then she overheard the doctors muttering something after she gave birth.

    Thanks.

Unlikely unless it was particularly violent.

"she's now in her mid 80s and decent medical care was probably only available for the wealthy in her days" You mean like modern America?

Post civil war Spain. (Is it that bad over there in the US?).

Neither was there much attention or concern given to child abuse in those days due to social shame. Daft humans.

I didn't want to have her talk about it so I'm trying to work out if it was more likely a distorted memory of some kind rather than a real experience.

Not many stats back then. Though in the 1960's in a good number states forcing sex on your wife wasnt' considered rape...or any kind of crime (heck our president did it). Child rape was a crime of course, though many family problems even sexual abuse, was almost always hidden and seen as a "family problem" only coming to light and legal action with it was also associated with physical violence and someone influential forced authorities to act.

Today, rape in the US is quite high.

Jgoti may have been questioning the health care? I would interested in the answer any way.

Grateful to have been raised else where at any rate.

Oh it was nothing to do with the healthcare. I was just trying to find out if the story is plausible.
