    So, is it possible, by for a long time reducing sleep making your body skip stage 1 and 2 of sleep and go directly into 3 and 4

    Not as far as I know.

    Your body has a particular rhythm for moving through those stages and I know of no way to force one state rather than another. Considering how little we know about the role and functions of all these features of sleep and the fact that the patterns are pretty stable in individuals, it's best to go with what you have.

    You could meditate yourself into astral projection...but, that's a whole nother ball game.

    The body has a particular rhythm for shifting through those steps and I realize that there is no way to force one state very than another.
