Old Doctor or first day first Practice Doctor.? Is your concern serious? Do you really believe that something is seriously amiss with your health? Not a broken leg? No. I don't think your leg is broken! Still, take a panadol and go easy on the leg for awhile, if you find the leg is broken, you might let me know and we'll have another look at it. Heart fluttering a bit? better keep away from the girls. ( or boys ). Perspiring all the time? Drink plenty of water, don't want you de--hyderating. Leg muscles seizing up with cramp, crippling pain? walk through it, you must get plenty of exercise you know. westwind.

LOL. I get it. I'm guessing I'm just old enough to recognize that type of discussion, most often from a younger dr. to a middle+ aged man (me!).

Yep. Diagnosis: You're old. Prescription: Get used to it.

Well, I am old. I have almost got used to it (then something else stops working) , but I still found westwind's rendition of the thesis incomprehensible.

For John Galt. Sorry John, left the y out of dialysis---opps, wrong thread, I mean I left the g out of diagnosis. Lynx Fox is wily, dropped onto it like a seagull on a hot potato chip! By the way, have you viewed the Thread, Giant mummified potato in the North Sea.? I thought a few Scots may have responded to that one. No potatoes in Scotland. Or onions. No, re; Doctor Visitations. If you appear too knowledgeable, you risk upsetting the Doctors view he has of himself. So, if you present with a broken arm, it's best not to say "" I think my arm is broken "" Just say, "" theres pain in the arm Doctor "", that gives him a clue to have a look at the arm, and discover for himself that there is a possible break. But to be fair JG., I shouldn't be taking the mickey out of the Medical Proffession, after all, they are only human. It's just that I am elderly and have somehow survived in spite of the many diagnosis I have had to endure. westwind.

Westwind, I'm sorry: put it down to personal taste, but it's just that I'm not attuned to your style. I see what you are trying to do, but it does not move me, to laugh, or to cry. I note that LynxFox liked your explication, but it left me unmoved, so - as I say - I think it must be just a matter of taste. I'm sure there are many posters who find my asides, or central theses equally bemusing. C'est la vie et la mort.
