Thread: Safety: Taq Polymerase contamination!!

Hi everyone,

I was contaminated by the master mix of PCR reaction: Taq polymerase, primers, dNTPs, ... I washed them immediately by alcohon 70%. Just a very small amount of them, but it makes me so worried. Is there any influence? How do we deal with that?

It wouldn't have done anything to you even if you hadn't washed the mixture off. It's harmless.

Can you tell me if the PCR reaction mixture containing the DMSO,Enhancer are harmful on skin contact in minute amount.I washed within 20 mins of skin contact.Is there anything to worry about

You may want to keep monitoring any problems that may occur and report to your Dr right away.
