What causes gastic? What are the symptoms and what is the cure and prevention?
Symptoms: unexplained weight-loss, jaundice, sharp pains in the stomach, difficulty swallowing, blood in stool, vomiting (possibly with blood).
Cure: none
Treatment: radiation, chemotherapy.
Prevention: healthy diet, exercise, and luck.
Causes: what causes any cancer? Probably saliva but only if swallowed in small amounts over a long period of time.

Were you talking about gastic cancer or gastric discomfort? I just realized the title of the thread is "stomach gas."
The cause of that is burritos. Prevention: don't eat burritos.
Gastric is basically due to the imbalanced secretion of stomach enzymes and acids as well as the components released in the mucosal lining of the stomach.
Gas is the collection of odorless vapors including nitrogen, carbon dioxide, oxygen and hydrogen and in some cases methane as well. The odor comes from the bacteria that are situated in the large intestine that releases small amounts of gases.
The use of the running and water in the morning really helpful to get rid of stomach gas. The use of fresh juices are also helpful to cover the stomach gas and make strong digestive system.
Gastric is unfortunately caused by a bacteria called Helicobacter Pylori.
Most people have this bacteria and don't get sick, but sometimes stress cause the immune system to drop and the bacteria will proliferate and start eating away the mucus lining of the stomach, causing acid corrosion (gastric).
The cure to Gastric (complete cure) is a regiment of antibiotic prescribed by doctor and/or other experimental technique. But to prevent infection you need to start from baby-hood by increasing hygiene.
Gastric will create a constant hungry because the mucus lining in the stomach is thin and caused the body to induce eating to prevent acid corrosion. Usually the mucus is thick enough to hold stomach acid.
The word 'gastric' simply means "pertaining to the stomach". What causes the stomach? Genetics and growth in the fetus.
I know you don't mean this, but how 'bout explaining what you want???

No, it isn't. "Gastric" is an adjective meaning "of the stomach". You can have "a gastric ulcer", but you can't have "a gastric". [/QUOTE]
My village people call it "Gastric". They said "gastric" to refer to a 'stomach pain caused by not eating'. Therefore "gastric" is a peptic ulcer unless you wanted them to follow dictionary (is dictionary that important?).
Language can be misleading. Village useage in this case is different to the scientific meaning.
The cause of ulcers is well known. It is infection with a bacterium - Helicobacter pylori - and can be cured with suitable antibiotic treatment.
Ponting
That is rubbish!
The cause of ulcers and their cure is well established. Helicobacter pylori. Antibiotics.
Abdominal bloating or swelling is defined as a condition in which the abdomen feels full and tight - this is often, but not always, caused by excessive intestinal or stomach gas. Stomach bloat from Irritable Bowel Syndrome can result from trapped intestinal gas that arises from mis-timed, or irregularly timed, bowel contractions.

Stomach bloating is marked by a pain in stomach, and sometimes also heartburn. The main reason for this is indigestion and faced mostly by everyone who lacks a perfect diet plan. Stomach discomfort and gas that occur within the first 15 to 30 minutes is a short term problem, which goes away once you have some pills for indigestion. There are lot of home remedies for stomach bloating also which is given in Abdominal bloating: MedlinePlus Medical Encyclopedia
Excessive gas in the stmach and intestine, which results in belching and faltulence, is often caused by swallowing air. This is a nervous habit some people have of gulping or swallowing with no food or drink in the mouth. Usually it is a symptom of mild anxiety and is not harmfull in itself but can lead to embarassing "attacks of the vapors".
It used to be thought that anxiety and nervousness caused gastric ulcers but recent research has identified a bacterial cause. Anxiety, sleeplessness, and stress do have a role but it is in generally lowering a person's resistence to disease and allowing the bacterial process to get started.
