First and Formost you will need a good understanding of self replicating molecules and the nomenclature( is that the correct word?) of organic molecules in general. So first you will have to ask a chemist. Then there are the reversable protiens and chemical messenger molecules. Advanced chemistry is the subject being dealt with here. Stems are now able to be man made test tubes. They provide one of todays ,short of curing aids viruses and all cancers, most meraculus miracle cures. Proven time and again.

If you can't post something vaguely accurate and helpful, it may be best to keep quiet.

What do you know? What you need to know is that stem cells today are the next best thing to penicilin. The source was contriversial before but no longer. Stem cells are now man made. More people in science should study cellular chemistry for future miricals. But what do you know . You probable adopted by some stupid rich people and sent to school in a beany cap uniform. You are Just not motivated . You are just not motivated mentally. Inovation dores not say tickle you with the ostrich feather of exite.

Strange, something about vauge accuracy. Accuracy reletive to what. How can it be vauge. Smart people use what they know. Intelegent people use what somone tells them. Why do you insist that your own thoughts are wrong or not as correct as someone elses, say for example the guy who writes a book (big money in book writing), or his sources of information. Have you no thoughts of your own. Vaguely accurate acording to someons book with someonelses sourses and in no way the thoughts of yourown. You mindless twit. Relativly speaking with only vauge accuracy as you are in no way stupid. I just don't understand the reason for all of the book recital.

    A few remarks here:
    1. What are reversable proteins?
    2. Have you claimed that stem cells can be created in laboratories?
    3. Is it demonstrated that stem cells can be used to cure AIDS and/or that they can miraculously cure all cancers? If so, where are these proofs you speak of?

Of the top. Nobel prize in medicine reversing differentiation creating man made stem cells. and I think it was reversing protiens that he used. Viruses and aids are too small and involve too complex of mechanisims to work with. They can only be immunized against.
If you are wondering about stem cells they can be used to complete missing parts in organs, and can rejuvinate them. As contriversial as they were from the start, except now where they can be made from regular cells, they are probably todays version of penicilin.

Do you have references? Given the fact that you speak about a Nobel Prize for Medicine, the research involved should be of an high impact.

I suppose that was intended to be some sort of insult but, like most of your posts, it was largely incomprehensible.

As I doubt Holmes is either willing or able to provide a reference: The 2012 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine - Press Release

Of course, it doesn't say anything about "reversing proteins", whatever they are.

Thank you for the link! Given the fact that stem cells are not my specialty, I appreciate the source because it simplifies the concepts, yet it highlights the importance of the research.

Yet, it is insufficient to back up everything member HBH stated.

Worth noting that viruses are worked with in all sorts of ways such as creating vaccines and for use as vectors in gene therapy (perhaps ironically, even the HIV virus is used as a vector in gene therapy).

Citations and proofs that nobel now gives away peace prizes? Go knock on the guy's door and ask him if he recently came into a good chunk of wealth? This is getting to be the pitts. What sort of educational backround are these schoolboys getting. Geez, they should try homeschooling. And of course the main reason I didn't present a citation ( wiki link) Geez again, is that all af you fine people are privliged enough to see typed words from me. Typing is for girls. I took a typing course half way once without credit, and I do NOT like typing. and cnn has an article about a cloned brain to use for stem cells cnn can't get citations.Bugga, bugga.

    This comment is absurd.
