stories with holes is a game where you ask yes or no questions to figure out the rest of the story.

ex) There once was a guy that's just getting on the plane and greets his friend six rows back and got arrested.why?

A: the guy said HI-Jack (jack was the friends name)

heres one more. you figure it out!

A woman brought her car up beside a hotel, and knew immediately that she was about to become bankrupt.why?

She was playing Monopoly, and the hotel was on Boardwalk. Everyone knows the rent for Boardwalk with a hotel is $2000, and this woman only had $1576 to her name. All of her properties were already mortgaged, and the banker (her husband, the clod, who was annoyed that his wife had chosen the car and relegated him to the thimble) was unwilling to bend the rules and slip her a big orange D note. If only she had rolled double sixes instead of an eleven.

    here's a new one

A man was found dead beside a rock in a remote area. There were no marks on the body, but there was no need for examination of the body, the cause of death was apparent. The news came as a shock to the entire town. Who was the man? Why did he die?

A man rode into town on Friday. He stayed for three nights and then left on Friday. How come?

A man lives on the twelfth floor of an apartment building. Every morning he takes the elevator down to the lobby and leaves the building. In the evening, he gets into the elevator, and, if there is someone else in the elevator -- or if it was raining that day -- he goes back to his floor directly. However, if there is nobody else in the elevator and it hasn't rained, he goes to the tenth floor and walks up two flights of stairs to his room.why?

Beulah died in the Appalachians, while Craig died at sea. Everyone was much happier with Craig's death. this is an odd one but why?

Wow this seems a complicated but interesting game

Let me start with a random guess, I really don't have a clue yet: Has the person who was found dead ever committed a crime himself?

    The rock was under water.

    Friday is a horse.

The man is too short to reach the button without his umbrella.

    Craig is a hurricane.

    The cactus? I don't know.

    The horse's name is Friday.

A man lies dead next to a cactus. Stuck to the cactus is a slip of paper. explain.
The cactus is the order holder of the fast food place where the owner was just shot during a robbery.

Beulah died in the Appalachians, while Craig died at sea. Everyone was much happier with Craig's death. this is an odd one but why?
Craig murdered Beulah in the Appalachian mountains and tried to flee to Canada by see, but his boat sank and he drowned.

He was a well known conspiracy theorist that routinely drove everyone crazy with his outlandish claims. Then one week he stepped up his campaign with a new story: He is the only remaining civilian left that knows exactly what happened with the JFK assassination. He proceeded to tell as many people what he knew as he could. The story contained improbable nonsense like alien conspiracy, JFK was an alien hybrid, Oswald was family of his, the Illuminati is the Earth branch of a galactic breeding program, everyone that knew anything close to the truth always ended up dead, they were killed by the weapon of choice of the Illuminati assassins: it focuses two beams of EM radiation on a point in your head, frying it and killing the victim instantly, always leaving a rock with weird hieroglyphs on it next to the body that spell out "contravener of the oath".

Is the man an undertaker (or whatever you call it), lying dead people down next to a cactus, and the piece of paper is a record of the names of the dead? lol, seems odd though.

no, but a little hint: the piece of paper has nothing on it
and there is something else nearby: a gun

He went out to the desert to test fire his brand new 600 Nitro Express magnum handgun. He pinned the sheet of paper onto the cactus for a target. Stepping back a few yards he took aim and fired. Foolishly, he was unprepared for the massive recoil of the 600 Nitro Express and the gun flew out of his hand, hitting him between the eyes, and killing him instantly.

The man had been doing some carpentry in the room. When he finished working, he swept the pieces of wood and sawdust into one corner. But as he was walking back to the centre of the room, someone dropped a glass bowl through the hole in the ceiling onto his head.

[QUOTE=mathformonkeys;116269]A man is dead in a puddle of blood and water on the floor of a
    locked room.
    explain.

There was an ice cube on the floor with a knife in it, then the man turned on the furnace. He then climbed on a chair and jumped on to the knife. When he jumped off, the ice shattered and the high temperature melted it into water.
