It figures that any postive radicals have been eliminated in the US to protect " others " interests .

    John Lennon

    John F Kennedy

    Johns obviously not popular name.

And yet you have Bush here ( forget any terrorist ) who has single handedly done more damage than any one in recent history , must be the the most hated man in the world , and yet no one can touch him.

Inspite of opposition from even his own party and growing unrest in the US , hes still in power.

Now tell me , please where it says a man who gets blowjob is more threat than someone who sold his own country out and is obviously trying to protect interests of oil cashcows by stumping on any enviromental issues.

Isnt it bit hypoctritical to feign this idea hes doing us all big favour /. protecting world interest while in the process giving the ok to all those companies that are contributing to the state of the world ?

10 yrs ago where I live we useds to get 5- 6 months of snow, now we 're lucky if we get a day..

    Thanks George

Bush will be regarded as a great president by subsequent generations, the man who set the tone for the 21st century regarding everything from the war on terror to our future in space.

i'll always fondly remember that old oil tycoon as the guy who set the fbi on eddie vedder. Beware, pearl jam is a serious threat to world peace.

When the Americans voted out the republican congress, in 2006, they 'touched him.' many of those votes were cast by 'positive radicals' even some presumably named John. Bush has been a lame duck for his entire second term, unlike Clinton, who you may recall made quite a few useful contributions during his second term in spite of what little bill was up to. Bush's advisors have fled him like rats from a sinking ship.

Most recently, Josh Bolten and Rove have been voted in contempt of congress. This is the scandal du jour, and the current US administration doesn't disappoint - one can find a new scandal from this administration, almost daily.

It would be most remarkable for the Americans to boot him out of office. Some might say it would undermine the democratic process. Nevertheless, the notion of 'power' is questionable as he seems quite impotent at the moment, looking more and more ridiculous by the day. Impotent. (Quite the contrast to Mr. Clinton! )

A graver threat at the moment lies in the possibility that a new republican president might be voted in, who would be given (by congress) the benefit of the doubt that Bush has squandered. Which candidate said that he believes there should be 10 Guantanamos? I believe it was Guiliani, who has a real chance at becoming president. Virtually none of the republican candidates will state that water boarding is torture, and many embrace religiosity as essential to their electability.

Now tell me , please where it says a man who gets blowjob is more threat than someone who sold his own country out and is obviously trying to protect interests of oil cashcows by stumping on any enviromental issues.

I also agree with the general sentiment, but not with your conspiracy theory about the Johns, and not with your putting the entire blame for AGW on Bush. He hasn’t helped to control it, but he didn’t cause it either.

And while agreeing with your sentiment, I wonder what’s the point of repeating it here? It’s all been said before. You're just adding to the pain. You’re not telling us anything new.

You know, the next one could be worse than Bush. Mitt Romney thinks “Freedom requires religion.” Huckabee thinks the Bible is true. And so on. What a bunch of feeble-minded losers.

" Man should not be in the service of society, society should be in the service of man. When man is in the service of society, you have a monster state, and that's what is threatening the world at this minute. "

" Remember the last line [of Babbitt]? "I have never done the thing that I wanted to in all my life." That is a man who never followed his bliss. "

" Darth Vader has not developed his own humanity. He's a robot. He's a bureaucrat, living not in terms of himself but in terms of an imposed system. This is the threat to our lives that we all face today. Is the system going to flatten you out and deny you your humanity, or are you going to be able to make use of the system to the attainment of human purposes? How do you relate to the system so that you are not compulsively serving it? It doesn't help to try to change it to accord with your system of thought. The momentum of history behind it is too great for anything really significant to evolve from that kind of action. The thing to do is learn to live in your period of history as a human being. That's something else, and it can be done. "

"One of the biggest changes in politics in my lifetime is that the delusional is no longer marginal. It has come in from the fringe, to sit in the seat of power in the Oval Office and in Congress. For the first time in our history, ideology and theology hold a monopoly of power in Washington. Theology asserts propositions that cannot be proven true; ideologues hold stoutly to a world view despite being contradicted by what is generally accepted as reality. When ideology and theology couple, their offspring are not always bad but they are always blind. And there is the danger: voters and politicians alike, oblivious to the facts."

"Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience."
