No, I won't do that. BUT I was wondering why the friggin' F*** none of those "I can prove Einstein (Heisenberg, Planck... put the name of your most highly admired scientist HERE) dead wrong and ALL(mostly NASA, FBI, CIA, KGB and "the scientific establishment") conspire to cover it up"-Buttnuts never try to show that the second law of thermodymics is wrong?

I mean, it seems to be some sort of sports to boast that someone found definite proof showing that either the Theory of Relativity [NO, not you TOR] or Quantum Physics or another well established and experimentally tested theory is BS. Just look at the Physics Board. Those people pop up like mushrooms. Some of them are even regulars here, isn't that so streamsystems?? Yet Thermodynamics governs every aspect of our lives and is in my eyes more fundamental than above mentioned fields of scientific interest and I have still to see the thread that claims: "Definite proof that Thermodynamics IS BS"

As I did not want to constrict that discussion to Physics alone I put it in the general section. If the Mods think otherwise, please move it to the appropriate sub-forum.

Oh dear. You could just have created a monster: your post is an open invitation to all the perpetual motion machine cranks to come on over and give us an earful! :P

    You might never be forgiven!

Everyone has to believe at least one conspiracy theory. It makes life more interesting. Personally, I don't think Lee Harvey Oswald shot JFK.

Could be the fame associated with it. Imagine how famous you'd be -- even outside the scientific community -- if you could disprove Einstein.

I do not think so. The perpetuum mobile freaks just do not get the second law, they do not tend to show it's wrong. I was thinking more along the lines that there is no single person that is - excuse this expression - "responsible" for TD. Kelvin, Clapeyron, Thopson etc. This was a tremendous effort from lot's of people so you cannot piss ANY single person off.

And the other thing is: most people do not really understand TD. Yeah, I know...there's some strange thing called entropy and this has something to do with heat and some such but that'S it. Well, most people also do not understand ToR and Quantum Physics either.

Here's a new challenge for Tsolkas and StreamSystem and the like: Show me that Mr. Maxwell was a Fuck-Up too
