You say that as if it's a bad thing :P

I would argue that there is a "commonly-applied scientific method." Although we sometimes jump around the process rather than proceeding through it tidily, in hindsight the process involved all the relevant steps (and sometimes a bit of luck.)

Well I think they're trying to make the point that science is useless, but that's not what the article says... And any scientist knows that those are all myths anyway so I don't really see the point here...
