It's certainly a popular and important subject, but I think it's good to leave it in 'earth science', 'environmental science' and other sections in which it fits well. In this way it stays connected with those fields of science, rather than standing on it's own.
But if a lot of people want a separate section than we should consider it.
It seems whenever global warming is in the news or at least being talked about that it generally is warm. I've been freezing my ass off this winter and would dearly welcome some talk if only for selfish reasons. Bring it on!!!

Usually fairly good winters here but for the last 2 months its been cold enough to silence the local global warming pundits but as soon as it warms up they'll be heard.
I assume you're in Britain. If so could you send us the Gulf Stream...I think you've had it long enough.
Just for that we're going to send a few icebergs your way.Originally Posted by Megabrain
That should get the global warmers all fired up in both countries.
I think that, if someone needs to they will. Or if they want to. Either way it is, like most, a worth while topic.Originally Posted by anand_kapadia
I think we need a "global warming" and if not possible we can sum up two or three things and constitute a thread.
