Thread: Transfection

Hi,

I have transfected 3 prostate cancer cell lines with an androgen receptor construct (pCMVhAR). All 3 appear to have been successfully transfected (Western blots give bands at the correct size.) However the response to the receptor's ligand is very good in the first cell line, weak in the second and non existent in the third. Is there any explanation for this? Expression levels of the receptor are similar in each cell line.
