My dream

Well first of all let me say that what I'm about to ask you might be ridiculous and if you feel to bash me go ahead and do it ...


So I'm not a scientist or anything close to it, I've just signed to this forum to ask simple question hopefully to get your guys opinion.
So since I can remember one of my biggest dreams was to somehow live in the universe where my "super-heroes" from TV showed lived, like living in a TV show universe.
Well why would you want it ? Well I don't know, it's a dream and I'm allowed to dream so I dream big, and yea I know it's sounds insane and like a fairy tail but I wanted to ask you guys if you think one day something like this would be invented, a device that let you live/go inside a TV show/movie universe and live with it's characters.
Now you can bash me.. I know stupid idea :oops:

Sure. Look up the technological singularity. If your consciousness were literally stored in a digital universe, anything would be possible. I'm not saying such an event is plausible or even possible, but it would allow for what you're suggesting.

The next time you post, maybe you could make the font a little bigger, though.

grmpysmrf my dream is more like really somehow getting into the universe of the TV show/movie rather than making holographics with AI ;p

What I think isn't really relevant in regards to such an event. My knowledge of neuroscience, robotics, computer programming, and the myriad other fields needed to achieve such a thing are not sufficient to make an educated guess.

The only thing I do believe is that 100 years from now, our technology will likely only vaguely resemble what it is today. Can you imagine someone at the turn of the 1900's trying to figure out a cell phone?

nope, but that's actually giving me hope maybe it sounds unrealistic but maybe it's not because we just didn't invent such thing ;)

Well, if we continue down our current path of prioritizing trivial land disputes and battles over differing belief systems over unified technological and societal progress, we'll ALL be dead before such a thing is a reality.

I think biotech is actually the way our technology is headed. we'll be developing interfaces for our brain and using nanobots instead of chemicals to cure our ailments.
But I say this only because I'm completely outside of the loop and have no idea what I'm talking about. Unless I'm right, then I was right all along, Suckers!
