K straight off the bat I will say I am not even sure what part of the forum this is supposed to go into but I looked and saw it may fit in this bit. I have been reading articles about an 'anti-aging' compound which may be able to reverse/stop aging. It can be found easily if you type it into Google. They have been doing trials on mice with success. Although its in VERY early stages yet.

Is there anywhere that discusses this subject? does anyone here know more on it? I am trying to find out as much as I can on it as I am fasinated by it. Does anyone know more about this? would it be possibly in theory for someone who is 40 to look 20 again by reversing the cells aging to back to when they are 20? is it supposed to stop the aging process or actually REVERSE it? it seems in a few articles its not clear.

Please someone tell me if they know anything on this thanks.

Biology isn't my strong suit, but isn't ageing the result of cell-division and DNA damage? Also, the OP appears to be about the cosmetic aspect of ageing rather than actual ageing in itself.

I think all you need to know is what is already in there - Anti-ageing compound set for human trials after turning clock back for mice | Science | theguardian.com. It says that the cells behave like 20 year old cells - whether that would make any difference to how you look is something else. It also is just going into human trials now.

The last bit at the bottom is the primary purpose of this medication - it isnt intended to make you look younger its intended to reverse disease in cells in old age:

“We know that this cell communication breaks down in diseases such as dementia, cancer and type-two diabetes. This research focused on muscles, but it could benefit multiple organs and delay and prevent a lot of these diseases occurring.“Whether that means we’ll all live to 150, I don’t know, but the important part is that we don’t spend the last 20 to 30 years of our lives in bad health.”

If anyone is looking for an anti-ageing compound that will make them look years younger - we already have it.

    It's called sunscreen.

Apply it regularly, preferably from a young age, and all the accumulated damage that makes skin look older just won't happen. (And don't smoke.)
