With a mind like no other human, I suggest that Stephen Hawking is an alien. Shouldn't ALS have overcome him like 30-40 years ago? So, I also suggest he does not have ALS but what looks like ALS is really the affect of gravity on his alien body.
    Any takers?

Many have a mind with similar (and exceeding) abilities compared to that of Hawking, they are simply less public and/or don't apply their minds. ALS progresses differently with each human it effects, he's certainly lived longer than most with ALS, but by no means is the duration superhuman.

Really? I thought Hawking's case was like no other and no one else with ALS has lived nearly as long as he has. I thought I had heard at one time that once diagnosed with ALS the sufferer has roughly 6 years, and he's blown well past that.

On the contrary - It's looking like a spectacular success - can you bear the disappointment?

Wasn't that way when he was in his 20's as this photo will show.
