Does new science blog have any future considering large amount of science blogs?
Sure, why not? But you'd have to compete with phys.org and such. Or make yours a niche science topic blog. Like about how the Rosetta probe is doomed to fail.
Individual science blogs depend mostly on the topics and the writing skill of the blogger.
Sometimes there's an issue if the person signs up with a group that has a particular slant on a specific topic - so if the person writes regular items which disagree with many of the other bloggers in the group, their comments can be overrun with unhelpful negative stuff. Though if you write on super hot topics like evolution, vaccines and other SBM issues, climate, sustainability issues, you're likely to get lots of unfriendly, unhelpful, unscientific commentary anyway.
Ok, so i would like to try.
The big problem is with the name. All names i thought about are already taken, so I need your help.
Scientist24 doesnt sound good, yes?
Wouldn't know. What you need to think about is whether you're likely to still favour it in half a dozen years time.
Some people choose a name that suits their subject. See Starts With A Bang and Aardvarchaeology on the "Select Blog" list at Scienceblogs along with other examples.
Other people choose a name that reflects something about them or their interests.
