Hi! This thread is meant to posting pictures of SciFi spaceship design and then picking and telling their flaws in real life. Here's the first picture. Pick some flaws and then make a post and point out the flaws.
Here are some Reapers from a video game series known as ''Mass Effect''. So tell your opinion about the shape design of a Reaper.

Background information (Naturally contains some spoilers): The Reapers are sentient starships (think them as robots with a starship as a body). They wipe out all life in Milky Way capable of interstellar travel on an average time span of 50000 years. The Reapers in this picture are Sovereign class capital ships that are 2 kilometers high. Their main weapons are magnetic accelerators that wouldn't work in real life. Their weapons fire molten metal with their magnetic accelerators to 1,3% lightspeed and it impacts with the kinetic energy equivalent to 132-445kt of tnt. They possess one of these in each of their tentacles and if I remember correctly are capable of firing them every five seconds. A Reaper can FTL travel 30ly/d with its Mass Effect drive which is a bunch of space magic (They use a basic element known as Element Zero which when applied to negative electric current creates a force field lowering the mass of all objects within the force field and when applied to positive electric current increases the mass of all objects within the force field. This basic element also possesses the atomic weight of zero. Within the game universe this Mass Effect allows FTL travel by breaking the closer to lightspeed the more energy needed to accelerate law of physics by keeping the mass of the ship same, allows railguns/ magnetic accelerators like the Reapers have capable of firing a slug with the mass of a medium sized dog to around 1% lightspeed by lowering the mass of the slug inside the gun lowering the energy needed to accelerate the slug which breaks the conservation of energy and conservation of momentum because the slug does not slow down when it leaves the barrel and neither does its energy increase after it leaves the barrel to keep the kinetic energy the same as it was in the barrel, Mass Effect allows ships to have force fields protecting a spaceship from objects with mass by creating these Mass Effect fields to produce gravitational disturbances making the projectiles fired at it miss the spaceship, these force fields are known as kinetic barriers, on the other applying positive current to EZ allows the increase of mass which I already mentioned which is used to create artificial gravity. By now you must realize that Mass Effect's technology is space sorcery dreamed up by a little space fairy when it took a little bit too much weed.). The Kinetic barriers of a Reaper can endure three organic dreadnought firing at the Reaper with its main cannon which accelerates a 20kg slug to 4025km/s every five seconds which is 1,6200625e+14 joules which translates to 38,7kt of tnt. Fourth will destroy the Reaper.

Starting from the corner with the long oval and working clockwise.

    Bath (long oval)
    Counter with two sinks
Two toilet stalls (toilets serve quarters on either side.)
What I think you are referring two as a chair is the letter "B".

Ah...I was thinking they were sinks.

    Well, I stand corrected.

I've checked and they actually used to poo out a window and shoot it with phasers - for fun and target practice.

How would a design of a Reaper work in real life physics conditions? Can any of you tell your opinion? And one design mistake on Enterprise is that it does not have a separate warp drive for the round part should it ever have to be separated. That would mean it would get stuck to some place with the people on board hoping for a rescue.

Reapers in Mass Effect 3 fly with their broad-side forward, giving them a great big half-a-square-kilometre profile. You kind of just fire in their general direction and their profile collects the rounds for you. What good are powerful barriers if everyone can hit you as you close to attack?

Mass attacks, is how they do it. As they approach, the reapers weave side-to-side as a single group. Every time you hit one, the weaving and advancing speeds up. Finally the last reaper is moving so fast your shots miss and it crashes into your ship. GAME OVER.

That's why you need to aim for the command ship at the back of the fleet. If you manage to get rounds into him, between the weaving attack craft, then you'll win! He's easy to locate, since the ship makes a high-pitched wailing sound, but he's hard to hit...

How would the shape of a Reaper work in atmosphere? I'd think pretty poorly and could any material we know actually withstand the mass of millions of tons like the tentacles of the Reapers have to withstand? Or would the millions of tons of mass cause the tentacle legs to get crushed by the weight of the main body?
