I want to destroy Andromeda Galaxy. How? All suggestions are welcome.

Maybe I can make a new kind of bomb. But how powerful it should be? What about LASER?

Why I want to destroy it: Somebody told me here that it is going to collide with Milkyway. Before that collision it need to be destroyed. Dont you agree?

Moral: There may be Alien races there. Will it be moral to kill them? And if they destroy our galaxy before we do same? So better hurry up! Just remember that there is no moral lesson in long run, only survival is important. Am I wrong?

And how to minimize space pollution?

(I know it is kid stuff, but I am enjoying it.)

The Andromeda Galaxy/nˈdrɒmɨdə/ is a spiral galaxy approximately 2.5 million light-years (2.41019 km) from Earth[4] in the Andromeda constellation. Also known as Messier 31, M31, or NGC 224, it is often referred to as the Great Andromeda Nebula in older texts. The Andromeda Galaxy is the nearest spiral galaxy to our Milky Waygalaxy, but not the closest galaxy overall. It gets its name from the area of the sky in which it appears, the constellation of Andromeda, which was named after the mythological princess Andromeda. The Andromeda Galaxy is the largest galaxy of the Local Group, which also contains the Milky Way, the Triangulum Galaxy, and about 30 other smaller galaxies. Although the largest, the Andromeda Galaxy may not be the most massive, as recent findings suggest that the Milky Way contains more dark matter and could be the most massive in the grouping.[11] The 2006 observations by the Spitzer Space Telescope revealed that M31 contains one trillion (1012) stars:[8] at least twice the number of stars in the Milky Way galaxy, which is estimated to be 200400 billion.[12]
The Andromeda Galaxy is estimated to be 7.11011 solar masses.[2] In comparison a 2009 study estimated that the Milky Way and M31 are about equal in mass,[13] while a 2006 study put the mass of the Milky Way at ~80% of the mass of the Andromeda Galaxy. The two galaxies are expected to collide in 3.75 billion years, eventually merging to form a giant elliptical galaxy.[14]
At an apparent magnitude of 3.4, the Andromeda Galaxy is one of the brightest Messier objects,[15] making it visible to the naked eye on moonless nights even when viewed from areas with moderate light pollution. Although it appears more than six times as wide as the full Moon when photographed through a largertelescope, only the brighter central region is visible to the naked eye or when viewed using binoculars or a small telescope.

Me too. I mean, it's just so 1960s...

Since we can't even make a bomb or laser capable of destroying a planet I think taking on a whole galaxy is redefining "overambitious".

Yeah, when they say "collide" it's going to be more like two very, very very, thin patches of mist "colliding".
    Not like two trains colliding.

This collision is not expected to happen until 3.75 billions years from the present day.
So why would such an action be necessary?

How about we collect all the junk around the Milky way that isn't important, and shoot it into the SMBH at Andromedas core. Then the Andromeda Galaxy will eat itself before it reaches the Milky Way. I'm not quite sure what to do about the SMBH itself though...

And that is how NASA can increase their annual government funding.

can we transfer that SMBH (Supermassive black hole - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia) to other place in universe through SMWH?

even if you make a bomb so powerful it can engulf the galaxy, it's going to take a long time for the blast wave to engulf it.. a very long time.

We should drive our galaxy at it as fast as possible.

    a) No.

    b) It wouldn't make any significant difference to the galaxy anyway.

~ As the mad duck said sort of and almost... ; Not a accurate report or recollection ; That we can not do anything but watch...
I can not at this time even imagine humanity ever having Galactic Technologies.. that could make ANY impact of scale required or necessary., and not necessary. That this Galaxy could merge and entwine with Andromeda without any great disruption to this Solar system at all... or not regardless of us completely. The night sky will be a interesting view... as it already is.

If we had the technology available to destroy an entire galaxy, is it not possible we would also have the technology to simply alter the trajectory of a galaxy?

Yeah, but it'd be much cooler to blow the hell out of it.

How about we create a giant black hole in the space between the galaxies so that when it starts to get to close it just gets sucked up!

    Oh for crying out loud!
Just put a big "No Andromeda galaxies allowed" sign at the edge of ours.
It'll shuffle its feet, look embarrassed, mutter "I didn't want to come in anyway" and then go somewhere else.

I have a better plan. Let's go with our proven strengths: We'll occupy every corner of this Milky Way, rule it with an iron fist, suck all the goodness out of it, and just as the Milky Way is most utterly destroyed, Andromeda will arrive.
