My wife is a knitter and she decided to put her skills to work to make my mother's Christmas present this year. Being sci-fi nerds, the lot of us, she decided she would make a replica of all of the different Doctors, and a TARDIS for them. I figured some of the science people on here would appreciate her efforts. This is how it turned out:

    Hartnell:

    Troughton:

    Pertwee:

    T. Baker:

    Davison:

    C. Baker:

    McCoy:

    McGann:

    Eccleston:

    Tennant:

    Smith:

I tried to get some group shots...

    ...but things quickly broke down...

...yet, I still managed to get them all to behave long enough for a group photo:

A part of me wanted to keep these guys and put them on a shelf in my office. I think they're really cool. Like bow ties.

If I'd knitted these, no way would they be given to anyone else!

    They're absolutely fan.tas.tic.

There’s nothing I like more than a bit of art and creativity. Tip of the cap to your wife! Davison was my fav doctor back in the day until the arrival of Tennant.

Thanks for the kind words. I showed my wife your comments and it made her day.

I have yet to encounter a word in the English language that can describe the awesomeness of these puppets.
The group photo would also make an excellent Facebook Cover photo!

Would it be too much to ask for the schematics to the vault where these little babies are held? I like to spend my time designing an imaginary heist for kicks.

OMG, Grumpy McDuck complimented them. Is it possible her efforts have accidentally opened a rift in the space-time continuum?

    Not that he's wrong.

What impressed me is that with minimal features your wife has made them look like the originals. Nice job.
