As many of you know...I'm poor as hell. I lost my glasses about six months ago, and haven't been able to afford any. I just happened to mention this to Babe....and you know what she did?

SHE SENT ME ENOUGH MONEY IN A CHRISTMAS CARD TO BUY THEM!!!!!

Needless to say...she rocks harder than Jimi Hendrix and Eddie Van Halen combined.

Please use this thread to tell her how freaking cool she is!

Only a little surprised. Not often (ever?) do people interact in this way on the forum, but I think we all know by now that she is more than capable of something like this.

    Awesome? Hell yeah!

If any of us can truly appreciate what a blessing it is to have sight, it would be babe after all of the eye surgery and treatment that she has endured. That Mac's gift of sight could be restored by an intervention by herself, it would take wild horses to dissuade that lady from anything she set her mind unto.

    What a wonderful gift, babe!

I would share this beautiful visual compilation set to Eva Cassidy's version of 'True Colors' and add my voice to others who would love to hear and see some of your work.

of the one who bestows it.

    Babe, such wonderful generosity.

I was hungry and you gave me food,
I was thirsty and you gave me drink,
I was a stranger and you welcomed me,
I was naked and you clothed me,
I was sick and you visited me,
I was in prison and you came to me.

I really thank you all from the bottom of my heart for the accolades.....but that isn't why I did this for MacGuyver. It wasn't for accolades, but because his eyes were going to get worse by something that he needed, and having had 7 surgeries thus far on my eyes and an 8th this summer and at least 2 more in the horizon that I know about, I have a thing about being able to see! *chuckle*..being a blind actor/singer would be a major BUMMER!

You made me laugh, and Sir Duckky....you really made me laugh!! You little shit.

    Anyhow....thanks for the thoughts.

But I am nothing special.....I'm just another human being.

However, Sir Red Panda.........when I get my custom Porsche Panamera Convertible....I'll sent ya the box car, buddy! *laughing* in another words...dream on!!

Merry Christmas to all of you. I may not be science smart, but enjoy each and every one of you.

That remark seems to lack Christian goodwill, especially considering the season and the reason for the thread. I'm disgusted.

Nah, got 2 weeks' groceries from one sister already, and I bought myself this as an early Xmas pressie.

I would take part in Christmas if that was how it worked.

Since babe herself liked it it should have been sort of obvious that no offence had been taken (and none was intended).

Just because you people can't speak properly 1.

Wright Brothers would be aghast at aeroplane.
They're dead: they have difficulty in being aghast at anything.

1 My nephew's wife is of the American persuasion, apart from the shame on the family we HAVE managed to teach her how to pronounce the word correctly 2.
2 By dint of numerous exposure to the contraptions at various airshows: she's now a confirmed Spitfire fan and can even distinguish between, and recognise, various marks.

Why do think the Swiss or Singaporeans have an input on the English language?

Just because Americans have a fascination with neologisms...

and the WRIGHT BROTHERS made it fly first
The Wright Brothers are generally considered to have done so.

1 It's not really a joke because it's not funny.
2 That's "aerospace" not "airspace": two different spellings, two different meanings. Even the US understands that.

    Oh, PS:
