WHY Do we have to die?
I dont want to die. I love my life. It is so wonderful, colorful and fantastic.
After death are we going to be consciousless? what a waste.
SOMETIMES I Feel a deep urge to think on my purpose. Inspite of billions of books to get my answer, I still feel empty from inside. Is death final and ultimate satisfaction for us?
What a great drama this life is. 6 billion fools

for the same reason that your car doesn't last forever, even when driven and handled with the utmost care
all things wear down in the end, and we're no exception

it doesn't, however, mean that life is meaningless
come to think of it, why should the meaning of life have anything to do with death ?

because life is nothing but "waiting for death"
ultimate meaning of life is"end of all other meanings we create when we die"
if we know we will fail why the hell should we attempt?

We have to die so that others may live. If we end the cycle of death, we eventually end the cycle of life.

WHY Do we have to die?
Because it's too long to wait for the next season of Doctor Who.

Yes, but there is purpose and meaning in death. Perhaps you left behind a generation of your own genetic material. Perhaps your death provides nutrients for another life form. Perhaps the resources freed up by your death make way for new life.

If we stopped dying, we would prevent new life from arising, we would prevent evolution from taking place, and life as we know it would not progress.

All of that having been said, it does not remove the fear of death we all have.

The reason we have to die is because we haven't figured out the secret to immortality....yet.

that's a rather negative point of view - an alternative view would be that you enjoy life as much as you can on its own merits, irrespective of when death will strike
to go back to the car analogy : surely you're not taking your car for a drive filled with dread in the knowledge that one day it will let you down ? you enjoy the moment, and leave the worrying about a breakdown until the moment when it is actually happening

I would direct you to the nihilist club website, but unfortunately, they could see a reason to make one. They don't even attend group meetings because, well, what's the point...

It is evolutionarily advantageous to die, so it would seem.

Do not dwell in the past, do not dream of the future, concentrate the mind on the present moment.

Believe that life is worth living and your belief will help create the fact.

Life is a dream for the wise, a game for the fool, a comedy for the rich, a tragedy for the poor.

How far you go in life depends on your being tender with the young, compassionate with the aged, sympathetic with the striving and tolerant of the weak and strong. Because someday in your life you will have been all of these.
When the power of love overcomes the love of power the world will know peace.

How big a population would that involve? Have you seriously thought about what this means when one species on a finite planet sequesters materials forever? How are you going to kill off the "surplus" before you get started on the "lucky" few who get to live?

That must mean at some point that they must stop reproducing. (Even if we could work out this optimum permanent population in the first place.) So that means no more family life, no more teachers, no more aged care workers, no more hundreds-of-occupations-associated-with-beginning-of-life-or-end-of-life ...

What would these people do? No children to play with or educate, no new athletes being recruited for sports teams, no new undiscovered musical talent, no sick people to care for, to heal or to bury. Who would we marry, for how long? Why would we marry? Maybe we would just keep on changing partners every century or so? And when we run out of new people to meet or to be interested in, what then?

For.ev.er. Sounds desperately boring to me.

Your last sentence regarding running out of new people....though I know you were very serious......set me into peals of laughter and I will behave, because the first thing that popped into my mind were sheep jokes.
