Today, when I was surfing the internet, I came across the world "piezoelectricity". I learned that it was possible to generate electric current by pressing the ceramics and other piezoelectric materials. Also, I learned that the electricity generated was of very high voltage. Likewise, I learned that the gas lighter worked based on this phenomenon. Please, can anyone tell me how can this type of electricity be used? In simple words, how can this be used to light a bulb?

The Wikipedia article lists a number of uses. Lighting a bulb isn't one of them, probably because it doesn't generate much power.
