    Colonized by Great Britain,gained independence on october 1st 1960,3years later became a republic,and now at 53 still a great nation and with great hope for the future. I

    Congratulations on your National Day. Apologies on behalf of the UK for having screwed you about during the colonisation era.

    My least happy memory about the place was watching Tony Blair's victory on TV in my hotel room in Port Harcourt in 1997.
