Since I've gotten into social media sites, I've found out that the feeling that a day or a week are going slowly, isn't just local. If weather is bad or something like that, it would be understandable for time to seem to pass slowly in a given locality. But sometimes two or more people very far apart have the same feeling. Sometimes time seems to pass quickly too. What could cause these feelings among people great distances apart?

Depends a lot on your job, your circumstances and living arrangements generally.

I can assure you that when you have small children, the days can drag interminably but the months and years will fly.

There are 7 billion people on this planet - all with changing emotional states.
What are the odds that some of them sometimes have coinciding feelings?

The odds would depend on the number of the people and the possible amount of people that could possibly have that feeling#

Chelsea lost to bayern munich super cup and of course am a chelsea fan and I felt real bad......what's the chances that some chelsea fans will have same feeling?.....its possibly all(of course cannot just be all) but there is no special attachment/nor is it strange#

    Time flies for me, regardless.

I live in Hawai'i and my husband lives on the Mainland. We see each other about 5 months a year give or take a week.....and with or without him, time passes very quickly for me.

You are always time conscious......and although I don't feel like explaining too much I think psychological entropy of time has something to do with.

Sorry Panda....didn't see this before I posted in Trash Can telepathy thread but it may prove the point.

Well in whatever case I believe the way humans experience time is an illusion#

Possibly, because time passes differently for each of us, as humans.

As Einstein said: when a man sits with a pretty girl for an hour, it seems like a minute. But let him sit on a hot stove for a minute and it's longer than any hour. That's relativity.
