Not sure if you have heard of this game, but it can be fun. Everyone takes turns...posting a 'would you rather' type of question, and the next person following, quotes the would you rather question, and replies...then, posts one of their own...and so on and so on.

Example...it should be something like this:

''Would you rather be beautiful or smart?"

''Would you rather be a well known minor league baseball player or a no name major league baseball player?''

''Would you rather be popular and poor, or rich and lonely?''

    Get the gist?

    Ok...I'll go first...

45 years old and never sick.

Would you rather have all your needs met and life be easy but boring, or have constant struggles never knowing where your next meal comes from and pain tempered with wild and fantastic achievements and adventures?

I'd say the latter, even though the 'not knowing' would be scary. But, it's more exciting, overall.

Would you rather know how you will die, or when?

When. I'd like to know what I have to work with and how drawn out my delusion is.

Foresight when nobody believes me, misanthropy helps. Would you rather kill a kitten or a puppy?

Depends on how the steak is cooked. If given the choice, would you rather have your foot gnawed off by a ferret or midget possum?

That would depend on how blind or deaf they are but I'd probably go with how hot I am. That can be argued from a temperature angle. I'm 98.6degrees F.

Would you rather be cut off from society having no access to them except through the internet, or have no access to the internet and have to interact with society directly for everything?

Too many factors in that one.

Kids......your parents.......and at 90...one doesn't expect perfect health, at 45...well you should be healthy.

    Easy: bye bye phone.

The one that made me laugh is:

Would you rather watch your parents have sex every day for a year or join in once to make it stop?

I would rather be ten feet tall, it would make it easier to see in concerts. Would you rather be given 2 millions now or 100 million in 15 years time?

I'd take the money. I like being short but hate being broke.

Would you rather be cut off from society having no access to them except through the internet, or have no access to the internet and have to interact with society directly for everything?

I'd rather interact with society directly but only because the internet makes me lazy. Would you rather have your dream house or your dream job?

dream job, because we spend so much time in our lives at work...it would be nice to be completely content with it.

Would you rather have an incredible life with no memory of it, or would you rather have a tough life, but remember everything?

Most certainly the great life, memory is nice but hey we make new ones everyday so we can always make more. Would you rather the holiday of a lifetime and no vacation for 5 years or 3 ordinary ones every year?

The latter. No vacation for 5 years sounds terrible.
Would you rather want to know when you will die, or would you rather want to find out how you will die?

    Definitely "when you will die".

I can't do much with "how you will die" (assuming that the future is immutable).
But if I knew 'when' then I could make plans and alter my behaviour.
e.g. If I knew I would die aged 65, then I would probably not bother with a pension.

But if I knew that (e.g.) I would die in my sleep - what use would that information be to me?

Poor and intelligent. I think bad things happen (as we see a lot) when people amass too much wealth.

ten! why not indulge in the wonderful generosity of the grand imp!

if i had to narrow things down to one wish. it would be world peace. however that might come about.
it would be outstanding, to see such a thing in my lifetime.

Backpacking. My frail body wouldn't manage either particularly well, but I get very sick while out at sea. Would you rather have a pet Ewok or pet Shlunka?

fresh garden greens! in Italy, I believe they eat their salads AFTER the meal....that would be different. I'm 1/2 Italian.

I could easily abstain from eating out for a year.

Would you rather ride the ferris wheel or the roller coaster?

It would be hard, as I do enjoy eating out with friends, and such...but, I eat cleaner when I cook for myself. So, you enjoy cooking then?

Would you rather ride the ferris wheel or the roller coaster?
I like your 'would you rathers.' :=)
I would rather ride the ferris wheel. I used to love roller coasters, until I rode one a few years ago that was old, rundown, and wooden...and honestly, it felt like I was going to be thrown out. Sadly, I have not been comfortable riding roller coasters ever since. :/

You'd still be able to prepare!

Not all theatre arts people are rich and stupid. Most who do theatre arts have to have a second job. Unfair comment, to infer that all actors or people in theatre arts are "celebrities" and/or rich and stupid.

Foresight when nobody believes me, misanthropy helps. Would you rather kill a kitten or a puppy?
Neither but at times I could substitute my spouse for either other critter.

Intelligent and poor. I'm already half way there. Celebrities, whether they are actors or musicians or sports stars or journalists, generally get no peace and no privacy.

Would you rather dye quietly or dye in a noisy factory?

I spelled dye that way on purpose! I meant as in dying your hair or clothing.

Dye quietly. Since I never dye my hair, I am not confident with the idea that other people would see my clumsy attempts and/or my poor choice of dye.

Would you rather own a light saber or would you rather be able to generate and bend lightning?

generate and bend lightning!! Then I could convince lots of people that I am god, muahahahhahhaha and have them make offerings of chocolate.

Shallow perhaps, but the great looking bod and face. I'm not vain, but to be 'hideously disfigured?' I think that would do something to one's mind, after a while...
    That's a toughie, good one!

Would you rather be stranded alone for one week and you must find a way to survive without much in the way of food, etc... in Anarctica or in the middle of a jungle?

Jungle. I'd likely die in either place but the jungle offers a variety of quick deaths where antartica offers starving or freezing to death. Both slow and painful. Of course there is always drowning in icy water that may not be so bad. But I do prefer the idea of being eaten.

If money and resources were no object, would you prefer to shop at the ritziest malls with all the latest fashions and high tech toys, or in third world bazaars where you don't know the language, have to barter for everything doing charades and never know if the food is safe to drink, but are able to find some really rare one of a kind art pieces made by the natives of the local land?

fly 1/2 way around the world, get a hotel, wait for jet-lag to wear off, go to a bazarre, bargain for a bag of beans, a shirt, and a rug. back to the hotel, fly home, where the tsa confiscates the beans and adds a duty tax to the rug.

or drive or fly to a big city with a ritzie mall, and shop

cn I choose goodwill, walmart, the local lumberyard and a little online?

The former. Granting someone absolute autocratic control is a concept that I personally find troublesome (even if that person is benevolent).

When you are starving, would you eat your fingers or your feces?

Many's the day when a benevolent dictatorship looks rather appealing, lol...

    I have done both.

I prefer having them 100 yards away and an acre or two...that is sufficient.

Fly like Superman - faster than a speeding bullet. Nobel Prizes are cool and all, but they're about as useful as the distance you can throw them.

Would you rather have a magic piece of paper that will give you the answer to every question you ask it (the answer disappears after you've read it, and the paper can be used infinitely), or have the ability to "save" reality and reload said "save points" as though life were a video game?

i really don't like risk, but it is the price for freedom.
so, i'd choose freedom with some risk.

I'd say the $200k because most jerks end up losing their jobs eventually, in the short term. But, in the meantime, I'd have to deal with him. lol
The gentleman would be my choice, therefore.

A gentleman. I once told the egomaniac to stuff his head up his boxer shorts, where it belonged. I tend to be rather blunt.

In a rural area with the closest neighbor 1km away. I like the idea that if I want to walk around with my curtains open an be naked about the only ones getting a show would be the local wild life. And if there are any peeping tom's lurking in the woods, they would likely get caught in a trap anyway and I'd be serving long pork for dinner. mmmm

I love figuring out mysteries and puzzles, its great exercise for the logic centers of the brain. So I'd prefer save points so that if I get the wrong answer, I can try over and over until I get it right.

I'm not sure I understand the question. But if you mean that I do the choosing for everyone, or no one gets to choose they just get what they get. I think I'd rather people just get what they get. That way I don't have to listen to people blaming me because they didn't get what they wanted.

Freedom. There is no way to illiminate risks entirely, so better to face them with some dignity rather than be a whiny baby that isn't allowed to think for themselves.

I think I'd prefer the 6 day week, mainly because I'd screw up my sleep schedule and routine if there was nothing to force the schedule on me. So the four work days would be twice as hard as they should be if I had stayed on proper schedule during my days off.

I'd rather work for the egomaniac. They are usually gullible and easy to maneuver and since my days are numbered I need as much money as I can before I die so my kids can go to college. And I've been surrounded by egomaniacs all my life. I feel lost without them sometimes.

I'm used to the big town no friends thing. I think I would like the change of having few people around but being able to stand the ones I am near.

If you were in a terrible accident, where your life and the life of your youngest child, who is already unconscious, were in imminent danger. You had other children at home still dependent on you for survival and their other parent was extremely abusive and controlling but currently absent from their lives, and you had to choose whether to save yourself or your young child, which would you save?

Keep in mind that if you die, all of your children would be subjected to the abuse of the surviving parent for at least some time before they would be rescued, if they were ever rescued.

lmao, I guess my question was too challenging? I only asked because I have sort of been in the situation where I had to choose between my kids and myself. It was horrifying and luckily I was able to regain control of the situation.

as far as your question is concerned, I couldn't do either. they both require too much heavy lifting and repetitive movement.

Not all theatre arts people are rich and stupid. Most who do theatre arts have to have a second job. Unfair comment, to infer that all actors or people in theatre arts are "celebrities" and/or rich and stupid.
I made no such inference. How in the world does the phrase "most celebrities" mean "most theatre arts people". Most of the people I had in mind when I made the comment have nothing (or almost nothing) to do with theatre/acting/music.
    Fair enough.

"Celebrity" has taken on a new definition in these times.

Other than I would not be in that situation due to my 'zero tolerance' policy on both abusive relationships and children...
    A: I'd save myself.

I find the situation you described to be clearly weighted on my side (rather than the unconscious child's) and is almost a 'no brainer' choice for me.

There are very few things on this earth that a full grown male grizzly bear fears. One of which is a momma grizzly bear with cub(s). She will attack a male bear almost twice her size, and just not quit. Basically all mothers are momma grizzlys, they will risk it all for the moment of saving a child. Could you do otherwise?

In answer to your question, I own a 1993 T100 that always gets comments whenever I drive it. I also own a newer car as my usual 'daily driver' for fuel efficiency.

halibut, winter harvested, filleted into thin strips, wrapped generously around spiced steamed rice fingers, then wrapped in seaweed, then wrapped in steamed cabbage leaves and lightly steamed, served with melted butter and dark rye bread and a good dark beer.

would you rather eat fresh catfish grilled over an open wood fire, or grilled steak?

Agreed, but in my scenario there was nothing to attack. Just circumstance that you needed to remove yourself from. And different animals respond in different ways. When food is scarce a rat mother will eat her own young so that she may survive to breed again. without her the young would die anyway. Kangaroos have been known to sacrifice one joey to preserve her own life and that of another joey with better chances when water and food are scarce. We are not the only ones that sometimes have to choose which of our own children to save.

Respected. The reasons for liking people is usually because the person in some way just validates who you see yourself to be. Its that whole, birds of a feather thing. We tend to like people simply because we relate to them and see them as being like ourselves in some way. To me that's pretty shallow and self serving. But respect is sometimes given even to people we cannot stand, because we see how they are better than we see ourselves to be. So I'd really rather be respected.

Would you rather have to answer an easy playful question that doesn't cause you to question your beliefs or values, or would you rather have to answer a question that makes you examine who you are at the very base level and have to consider some really dark possibilities in life and your psyche?

@ seagypsyI like how you think; process things. I agree about the idea of respect vs. being liked.I've often respected ppl I didn't like; rarely ever liked ppl I didn't respect. To answer your would u rather question...I'd say the deeper question that gets me to think about my dark side. Do I have one? Will I be scared to find out? Okay....Would you rather...fall in love only one time, and lose that love early in life...or never find love during your entire lifetime?
