Looks like a homework question. What have your textbooks had to say on the subject?

Vomiting is protective reflex, mediated by the vomiting region in the medulla.
This reflex can be triggered by various stimuli, e.g. cytokines in the blood, pain, etc. Efferent neurons fire and cause a reverse peristalsis (i.e. going upward).

"The only safe rule is to dispute only with those of your acquaintance of whom you know that they possess sufficient intelligence and self-respect not to advance absurdities; to appeal to reason and not to authority, and to listen to reason and yield to it; and, finally, to be willing to accept reason even from an opponent, and to be just enough to bear being proved to be in the wrong."

    Thanks for the help.

We do have a policy though against simply spoon feeding homework answers to people who post homework questions. We generally try and guide them towards figuring it out for themselves.
