If a machine were made to simulate the human motions effecting a thrown strike ball, emulating that individual's wrist motion producing "spin", similar release velocity each roll, same degree of "loft", same ball at same temperature, same lane......a nice, hook-ball delivery causing a "pocket-hit" which puts every pin in the pit........

Would the machine throw a strike each and every roll, until finally, the maple boards would degrade to impair the perfect deliveries?

How many strikes could thus be thrown in succession?

(am I to be considered "nuts" for asking such a question?)

Here, a human bowler beats EARL. Apparently EARL is a bit too consistent and wears the oil off the lanes in one track. It only bowled a 209.

As was stated earl wore out a board which earl couldn't adjust to for some reason. Eventually the engineers will be able to "enhance" earls abilities which will then allow the robot to make adjustments when needed. The programming will be tweaked and earl will one day out bowl the best bowlers in the world. It is just a matter of time .
