We saw The Beatles on the Sullivan show
Started growing hair from that very minute
Went out and bought "I Wanna Hold Your Hand"
John, Paul, George and Ringo in it

    It was a BAND CRUSH
    Two guitars, bass and drums
    Keyboards on the side
    With amazing songs
    BAND CRUSH
    Screaming at the concert
    Records piling up
    As we sang along

Two girls and two guys fresh from Sweden
A blonde and a redhead in bell bottom pants
They hit number one with their "Dancing Queen"
That disco fad made the whole world dance

    It was a BAND CRUSH
    Two guitars, bass and drums
    Keyboards on the side
    With amazing songs
    BAND CRUSH
    Screaming at the concert
    Records piling up
    As we sang along

    Bridge:
    Shania Twain, she did alright
Female Elvis when it was all done
Her success made her feel like a woman
She's in Vegas and still the one

    Solo

We fell in love with Little Big Town
    Kimberly Schlapman and Karen Fairchild
They played the Ryman right there in Nashville
They did "Pontoon," and the crowd went wild

    Chorus

    Jim Colyer ascap

Jim, we are NOT a personal blog, we are a science discussion forum. What is it you want to discuss here, and why shouldnt I report this post?

If more of us valued food and cheer and song above hoarded gold, it would be a merrier world. -Thorin Oakenshield

The needs of the many outweigh the need of the few - Spock of Vulcan & Sentinel Prime of Cybertron ---proof that "the needs" are in the eye of the beholder.

I will admit, I think all of these songs should be in ONE simple Jim thread. Some are entertaining. Some are questionable. But either way, making a new thread for each and every one seems a bit... (About five different words all popped into my head).
I think it would be too much effort to hunt down all of them to combine them but maybe the mods can start with this one and Jim Colyer can continue to keep all lyrical contributions in that newly established singular thread.

I wonder if Jim could write a song about not wanting to hurt someone's feelings.
All that belongs to human understanding, in this deep ignorance and obscurity, is to be skeptical, or at least cautious; and not to admit of any hypothesis, whatsoever; much less, of any which is supported by no appearance of probability...Hume
